Making Tax Digital (MTD) for Income Tax Self Assessment requires landlords with income over £50,000 to keep digital records and submit quarterly updates to HMRC from April 2026.

Who is Affected:

  • From April 2026: Landlords with income over £50,000
  • From April 2027: Landlords with income over £30,000
  • From April 2028: Landlords with income over £20,000
