Get organised now for Register Your Rental Property
Register Your Rental Property — the new national database of private landlords and rental properties in England — is being introduced region by region across England from December 2026. Landlords do not need to register until their region enters its registration window, but you can start getting your records organised now.
Use this tool to find your registration window and understand what is coming. The checklist questions will be added as further official details are published.
This is a preparation checklist. It does not mean every document or piece of information listed will be required or uploaded when you register. Further operational details are being published as the service is rolled out.
Select the region where your rental property is located
The registration timetable follows the location of the rental property, not where the landlord lives. If you have properties in more than one region, each property follows the timetable for its own region.
